We understand that a therapeutic journey is not the place for a one size fits all approach. From traditional talk therapy, expressive arts therapies and movement body-based psycho-somatic therapy, we help clients heal from inhibiting mental and emotional wounds.

What is Creative Arts Therapy?
When most people hear “therapy,” they think sitting on the couch and talking. This is just one of the methods we will use. While effective, we like to also lace in methods of movement to maximize your therapeutic journey. Often, the past is stuck within your body and just can’t get released. Here, we weave in Therapeutic Arts like painting, drawing, dance, acting, music and so much more to maximize your time with us. Depending on your personal preferences and what you’re most comfortable with, we will create a creative atmosphere that allows you to move through your past and on to the bright, vibrant future that awaits you.

The Mind-Body Connection
Our philosophy is rooted in the Mind-Body Connection, which serves as a guide to help foster change and move people towards experiencing their most empowered self. While movement is often solely thought of as the physical act of motion, it also refers to emotion, progression, change, revolution. Hence our theoretical approach is centered around the profound capacity and power movement has to offer. Using an eclectic set of creative strategies, we provide our clients with a personalized approach to move them in the direction of their unique needs, desires, and dreams. We understand that a therapeutic journey is not the place for a one size fits all approach. From traditional talk therapy, expressive arts therapies and movement body-based psycho-somatic therapy, we help clients heal from inhibiting mental and emotional wounds.

We create a safe, healing space for those society historically has not
-
Movement For The Mind is an Anti-Racism space. In solidarity we say Black Lives Matter. Black mental health matters. We strive to meet various degrees of racial aggressions with education and action on micro and macro levels.
-
We are proud to be a safe affirming space for the LGBTQIAP community.
-
We believe no human is illegal and that all humans deserve and have the right to exist, reside, and belong safely and comfortably.
