Movement for the Mind
What we are about
Our Vision
To help move the world towards a deeper consciousness and understanding surrounding the need, not only for individual healing, but for collective social healing. And to contribute boldly to that healing.
MISSION
Our mission is to provide creative and specialized approaches to therapy that offer expansive exploration and deep healing.
We set out to contribute boldly to multi layered individual and social healing.
Our passion and purpose is to nurture, help heal, and lift up each client as they declare their stories and truths. We are here to help clients restore trust in their self and step into their innate strength, power, and wisdom. We aim to bring holistic healing to the mind and body, and to move our clients towards experiencing their most authentic and empowered self.
A fundamental requisite to our work is an expansive lens that acknowledges the interlaced micro and macro relationships among various aspects of the living world: individual traits, characteristics, and identities, family environments and dynamics, networks and communities, societal constructs and systems. And we recognize and affirm the disproportionate impact these have for so many.
We offer traditional talk therapy, creative arts therapies, and movement-oriented, body-based approaches so people have more avenues for exploration and healing. We are building meaningful access through transparent, equitable private-pay fees while sustaining the clinicians and practice that make this care possible. We recognize that private pay has barriers of its own and remain accountable for how we address access within our capacity.
We put our values into practice through thoughtful care, transparent choices, and shared responsibility for the people who seek and provide healing.
Our Values
-
Holistically Client Centered
We meet each person with acceptance, curiosity, and respect for their lived experience. Our work brings together traditional talk therapy, creative arts, and body-based approaches, guided by clinical knowledge and each client’s needs, preferences, and consent. We support people in reconnecting with their own wisdom, building agency, and exploring healing at a pace that honors their whole self.
-
Embracing Diversity and Inclusion
Belonging, dignity, and safety are foundations of care. We affirm the many identities and experiences people bring, including those marginalized by racism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of oppression. We attend to power in the therapeutic relationship and in our workplace, listen when harm is named, and remain accountable for creating a more affirming space for clients and clinicians.
-
Equitable Access & Sustainability
Mental health care should not be a privilege. Our equitable private-pay model offers four bottles that recognize differences in resources, responsibilities, and ability to contribute. Fees are transparent, the quality of care stays the same, and rates are agreed upon together. Reduced and Access appointments depend on clinician availability and practice capacity. We work toward meaningful access while sustaining fair clinician compensation and the practice that makes care possible.
-
Commitment to Learning and Education
There is always more to learn, unlearn, and reconsider. We bring curiosity and humility to clinical practice, seek ongoing education and consultation, and learn from clients’ lived expertise. We share knowledge in ways that support understanding and choice. Reflection, feedback, and a willingness to acknowledge and repair mistakes help us grow as clinicians and as a practice.
-
Expansive Bioecological and Intersectional Lens
A person’s experience is shaped by relationships, communities, culture, history, and the systems around them. We consider how these layers intersect with identity, power, access, and opportunity. This wider view helps us understand distress in context, recognize strengths and sources of support, and make room for both individual healing and collective social change.
-
Cooperation & Collective Care
We choose collaboration and cooperation over competition. We value shared learning, mutual support, and thoughtful referrals within our team and across the wider care community. We respect clients’ freedom to choose care that fits and clinicians’ need for autonomy, support, and fair compensation. We aim to build a practice where individual well-being and shared responsibility strengthen one another.
